| There are at least two bands using this name:1) Mortus is a Melodic Death Metal band from Linz, Austria. Formed as Sadistic Hate in 1993 they changed their name to Mortus in 1994.  | Necrovore-Divus De Mortus Track from the 2009 CD Compilation Texas Metal Archives Necrovore was formed in 1986 in New Braunfels, Texas, USA, and quickly became one of the most important bands on the American underground metal scene. They have been a major influence to many of the modern American death metal bands like Morbid Angel, Immolation and Incantation to only name a few. They recorded one rehearsal tape thas was widely spread in the underground and then one demo which was never released. They also recorded a track called "Slaughtered Remains" for a compilation LP called "Satan's Revenge Part II". The band split up before 1990 but reformed for a while in 1998. Nothing was heard from them for a while but now (2002) they are apparently back again with the original line-up and working on new material. One of the band members was also involved with the band Morbid Scream who released a self-titled demo tape in 1989. Mike Hernandez only jammed with Bjorn a couple of times before taking off and Louie Carrizales played drums for the band one single time.
